1/12/2009 Cast and Crew for Short Film TEST
Concordia Seminary - St. Louis and DWard Media are seeking actors for the production of a short film based on the story by acclaimed author Walter Wangerin, Jr.: "The Ragman." The video will be shot on HDV with the RedRock Micro lens system at 24p – giving a great film-look to the finished work.

Roles:
RagMan (Character begins young and virile.  He ages and endures 
physical/emotional ailments and wounds – ending as a broken old man)
Will  (Businessman – anywhere from 25 to 55 years of age.  This role requires brief 
implied nudity.)
Woman (Must be able to cry.)
Young Woman/Girl (could be a minor with parental/guardian accompaniment.)
Man (one-armed man who gains his second arm.)
Drunk (also sober.)

You are encouraged to read the short story before auditioning/interviewing.  We will begin auditioning in January and shooting will take place in St. Louis (February/March/April).  There will be 3 to 6 shooting dates, all exterior, both day and night.  RagMan and Will needed at all shoots.  Other characters needed for one day/night each.  This is a no-budget film, so unfortunately there is no pay, but you will be fed and given a DVD copy of the finished film.  The film will be featured on the Concordia Seminary iTunesU site, where there is an average 20,000 downloads per week. 1/12/2009 Documentary needs teachers TEST
I am looking to interview elementary school students as part of my documentary about the upcoming inauguration.  If you are an elementary school teacher and would be interested in having some of your students do on-camera interviews please email Lynelle@inaugurationroad.com.  The students will be asked questions like what the inauguration means to them and what their thoughts on the historic election are.  Releases will be provided in advance for students to get the signature of a parent or guardian allowing them to participate.  Tentative shoot date is January 15th.  Time can be afterschool so as not to interrupt normal studies.  St. Louis or Metro East schools only please.

Once Upon A Bash is looking for singing princesses to perform for at parties and character visits. Our parties and visits are held in our Maplewood store and in our client's homes every weekend. We are looking for females approximately 18-25 years of age. With the proper gown and wig, you should favor looking like one of the popular storybook princesses (Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc.)Once Upon A Bash is a children's designer event planning service. We host several parties and princess visits in Creve Coeur, Ladue, Chesterfield, Wildwood, Ballwin, Town & Country, etc. But we have also just opened a storefront in Maplewood where we will be holding the majority of birthday parties and various other events throughout the week. As of now, you would not be asked to commit to any set dates. If a visit was scheduled on a day you were available, it would be at your discretion as to whether or not you wanted to do it. I would only ask that if you committed, you followed through, of course. There are parties and visits every weekend and clients usually book at least 3 weeks in advance. Princess visits are usually one to two hours and involve singing, dancing, photo op, games, light makeup session, and storytelling. You will be provided with any needed supplies, costumes, shoes, wigs, gloves, music, party guide, etc. You will sometimes have an assistant with you to help out for larger groups.

PAY: Singing princess visits are paid at $50 for the first half hour, and $30 each additional half hour, plus tips, and sometimes travel fees. Should you have more than one visit in a day, pay will reset at $50 with each visit.

The Theatre Guild of Webster Groves will be holding non equity/nonpaying auditions for Five Women Wearing the Same Dress by Alan Ball (who also created American Beauty, HBO's Six Feet Under, and Showtime's True Blood), January 13, 2009 @ 7pm. Parts available for 1 man (late 20s) & 5 women (20s-mid 30s) . Show dates: March 6-8, 12-15 (Possible private performances March 19-22). Cold Reading from the script. No appointment required. Bring headshot/resume. Directed by Deb Dennert. SYNOPSIS: During an ostentatious wedding reception, five reluctant, identically clad bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom, each with her own reason to avoid the proceedings below. Shakespeare Festival St. Louis seeks a diverse and versatile company of equity and non-equity actors to perform The Merry Wives of Windsor in Forest Park from May 20 – June 14, 2008 (rehearsals begin April 21, 2009). Please prepare two contrasting Shakespeare monologues (not to exceed a total of 4 minutes) and bring a headshot and resume. Actors that can play an instrument are encouraged to bring it with them and play a tune (from the 1920's, if possible). The National Society of Arts and Letters career opportunities awards competition will take place this winter and spring. Actors compete for awards of up to $10,000. The competition is open to actors 18 to 30. To compete, interested actors must enter a chapter competition. The St. Louis Chapter competition is scheduled for February 27. St. Louis' first place winner will receive an all expense paid trip to Washington, D. C. to compete at the national level.
